Ένας φύσει ευγενής άνθρωπος, όπως ο Leonard Cohen, δεν θα μπορούσε παρά να προαναγγείλει τον θάνατό του για να μας προετοιμάσει. Εκείνος ήταν έτοιμος, είναι φανερό στο “You Want it Darker”. Εμείς, πάλι, όχι. Επειδή το ανέκκλητο παράγει ανοικονόμητες κοινοτοπίες, ας λείψουν τα πολλά λόγια. Μπορούμε πάντα να τον ακούμε, να τον διαβάζουμε· να τον «βλέπουμε»· να μαθαίνουμε από τη στάση του: μεγάλη κληρονομιά. Δεν έχει νόημα να το πούμε, γι’ αυτό ακριβώς και θα το πούμε με την καρδιά μας: «Αντίο, Lenny. Κι ευχαριστούμε για όλα».
